Industrial Waste & Waste Water Treatment Plants: Impervious Systems

 

Today, large industrial and mining companies must deal with major economic as well as ecological concerns. They must recover the maximum amount of ore through leaching, working large quantities of material with large or small ore content at a reasonable price for mining projects, adequate containment system for water and waste water treatment projects. And they must do so while protecting soil and water tables neighboring their prospecting zones.

In mining projects, companies have little choice but to forego inappropriate operating methods in favor of a modern approach and technique for the construction of heap leach pad impervious systems, storage areas and mine tailing covers.

The use of Polyethylene Geomembranes has made it possible to continue working mines in regions subjected to harsh weather conditions or on complex and unstable soil while meeting owners economic and ecological imperatives.

   

In water and waste water projects, Polyethylene Geomembranes acts as a pond liner to prevent containment from entering ground water sources or stream. In addition, the Geomembranes prevents seepage loss thereby conserving millions of gallons of water annually in water applications.

Our Solutions:

Based on prevailing local standards and the technical requirements of engineers' specifications for heap leach pad or water and waste water treatment projects, AEC suggests the use of smooth or textured high or low density (HDPE, LLDPE) Geomembranes in thicknesses of 1.0mm to 2.0mm.
